Beauty (Mi) celebrates the process of construction and the beauty of the interaction between the garment and its wearer. The collection explores the aesthetics of volume created by ruffles and how they fall around the body. The garments have varying measures of construction and transparency, exposing or covering an outline of form. How the wearer feels inside the garment is closely related to how it moves. The initial contextual inspirations for the choices of fabrics used for this collection are framed by upcycling and environmental sustainability, and most pieces are made entirely of found materials.
